Spending the Holidays in my Hometown

I have been MIA for a while and I left off with a natural hair post. I have not forgotten about it. Actually, writing on this blog is always on my to-do list,  but more urgent task always pop up. Anyway enough of that.

I went back to the DMV for the holidays. For those of you who do not know the DMV stands for D.C,  Maryland, and Virginia and includes the surrounding areas near D.C. There are D.C. natives who police those who say they are from the DMV, but even airports that are far from D.C. claim they are in D.C. Take Dulles for example, it is located 26 miles from the city and if you look up airports in D.C., this is one of three to pop up.

Journey to London

Summer is almost over and I’m back in Kuwait getting ready for the school year. On my way back I had an 8-hour layover in London. I decided to visit Windsor castle. I arrived at 1:15pm and planned on leaving by 2:15pm.  I was hoping to get to the Castle by 3:30pm making it in just enough time before the last entry time which is 4:00pm. Customs didn’t take long, but by the time I switched to a different terminal and dropped my bags off I was two hours behind schedule.

Cheap Flights and Layovers

When planning my trip to Barbados, flights from Dallas were expensive. Google flights really came through with the cheap flights. It looks for the cheapest one-way ticket going and coming. It is very likely you could be on different airlines coming and going, but you can save a lot. Instead of flying straight from Dallas, it was cheaper to get a flight from Miami. I saved about $200 getting two different flights than then flying straight. Read More

California Dreaming

I just got back from Kuwait a week and a half ago and I planned a mini trip to Cali. I went to LA last June but felt my trip was too short. I decided to go back so I could do more. I did a couple of Airbnb experiences and stayed in an Airbnb for the first time. I explored the Getty Museum and LACMA and spent a day at Universal Studios.
